Jury decides 7yr old boy James can become a girl HRT - Convinced yet you need to know your rights?

A jury sided with the mother this week in Texas, clearing the way for the mother to start the hormone-replacement therapy to transition her son James into a girl. Earlier in this case, the father, Jeffrey Younger, was ordered to not refer to his son as James or as a boy and to only acknowledge him as a girl, or Jane. The father was put through a week long jury trial only to have his money spent on arguing that he makes the better decisions for his son. The jury decided with the mother's arguments that dad is not sensitive to his son's needs and that she is the "better parent." Advocates sat in this weeklong jury trial and Sherry Palmer argues that advocates need to take more action and do more than just serve as a witness to the system being used to screw these children, and to become instruments of teaching these parents and their attorneys how to use their rights to avoid these judicial errors. More legislation that does not put the protections for these rights in place Sherry calls just band-aids and not protection from these kinds of injustices. The Constitutional Fight for Parental Rights: Analyzing the Jeffery Younger Case and Child Medical Autonomy
Picture this: a dad stands in court, fighting for his young son's future. A jury of strangers gets to decide if that boy starts hormone therapy with risks like blood clots. In Texas, the Jeffery Younger case just showed how family courts can grab control over kids' lives. This isn't right. Parents lose ground fast when judges step in on big medical choices. The real fight? Claim your constitutional rights now, before it's too late.
Section 1: Deconstructing the Younger Case and Judicial Overreach
The Irreversible Nature of Proposed Treatments
Hormone therapy changes a child's body for good. It can lead to blood clots and other harms. Once started, you can't undo it. Kids grow through odd phases. Forcing this now robs them of a normal path later.
James Younger might just be testing ideas, like many boys do. But courts push ahead anyway. Parents know their kids best. Why rush into forever changes?
Questioning the Role of Juries in Parental Decision-Making
Who hands life choices to neighbors on a jury? You'd never ask them to pick your kid's path. Yet in Texas, they voted on James's hormones. This crosses a line. Juries handle crimes, not family meds.
Strangers lack the full story. They see one side, maybe swayed by tears. Real parental rights block this grab. Courts should stay out unless danger looms.
The Failure to Assert Fundamental Parental Authority
The judge had no business picking one parent's view over the dad's. Both mom and dad get a say until the kid turns 18. Equal time helps, sure. But deeper, the Constitution guards family choices.
Wait it out. Phases pass. James deserves that shot at change without scars. Courts ignore this at our peril.
Section 2: The Advocacy Gap: Why Information Isn't Reaching Parents
Criticism of Onlookers and Passive Reporting
Advocates pack the courtroom. They watch parents lose. Then they post sad updates online. Why not speak up? Tell the dad and his lawyer the right moves.
Shame on those who just report. Jeffrey Younger needed real help. Not pity posts. Action saves kids.
I stayed up late last night guiding a Texas parent. Their lawyer now fights smarter. That's the fix.
The Need for Proactive Constitutional Defense in Family Law
Stop begging lawmakers for new rules. Judges twist those anyway. Stand on your rights in court today. The Constitution already protects you.
Change your view. Own the power. No more playing their game.
- Argue family bonds first.
- Block one parent's solo med push.
- Demand courts follow the law.
Laws shift slow. Rights win now.

Section 3: Leveraging New Legal Precedents to Strengthen Parental Claims
Utilizing the American Bar Association (ABA) Delegate Resolution
Big news hit August 2024. The ABA passed Resolution 118. It admits a huge gap. States focus on "best interest" but skip family unity.
This tool works everywhere. No state named. It backs your fight nationwide.
Use it to slam court doors on overreach.
Integrating Family Integrity into Legal Petitions
File papers citing this. Tell judges: "Your court can't ignore Constitution." Kids need intact families. Unity matters most.
Your petition sets the rules. Courts must follow.
Here's how:
- Quote the resolution.
- Link to parental rights docs.
- Stand firm on family wholeness.
Attorneys, wake up. This amps your case.
The Danger of the "Best Interest of the Child" Standard Alone
"Best interest" sounds good. But it lets judges play God. They pick winners based on moods. Add family rights. Now they can't stray.
One standard alone? Too loose. Pair it with Constitution. Win real protection.
Section 4: Redefining Victory: Avoiding the Financial and Legal Traps
The Illusion of Partial Wins and Perpetual Court Control
You win some time with your kid. Great. But orders lock courts in forever. One parent complains. Back you go.
They drain your cash. You bankrupt. Kid gone. Alienation starts.
Full rights fight ends this loop. No more traps.
Strategic Resource Allocation Over Endless Litigation
Save money for the big battle. Skip small scraps. Hit constitutional core hard.
Bankruptcy loses kids. Smart fights keep them home.
- Cut useless hearings.
- Build rights-based case.
- Conserve for appeals if needed.
Real victory? Full control back.
Childhood Phases vs. Permanent Medical Alterations
Kids change dreams fast. I wanted to be a vet from age five. By 11th grade? Marine biology. Good thing no one forced me.
My son climbed high. Fell once. Bounced back on soft ground. Risks build grit. Hormones? No. That's scars forever.
Let them explore safe stuff. Skateboards, yes. Life drugs, wait till 18.
Phases fade. Why lock in pain?
Conclusion: An Immediate Call to Action for Informed Parental Advocacy
The Jeffery Younger case screams for change. Juries shouldn't rule on kids' bodies. Parents hold the rights. Courts overstep without pushback.
Grab the ABA resolution. Teach lawyers constitutional fire. Ditch passive watches. Guide fights now.
Your kid counts on you. Shift mindset. Fight foundational. Share this. Save James and others. Act today. Message for help. Families unite or fall.
